Product Information

Low-carbon ferromanganese is mainly composed of two elements: manganese and ironalloy, it starts withManganese oreAs a raw material, it is made by smelting in blast furnaces and electric furnaces, and ferromanganese is one of the most used deoxidizers and alloying materials in steelmaking production. The carbon content of low-carbon ferromanganese is not more than 0.7%. The Japanese standard requires the carbon content to be less than 1%, while the original Federal German standard requires the carbon content to be 0.05~0.5%. The production method of low-carbon ferromanganese and medium-carbon ferromanganese is the same, but it is requiredSilicon-manganese alloysThe carbon content is lower. In recent years, medium and low-carbon ferromanganese has been produced by converter, shake ladle and oxygen blowing, which saves energy consumption and reduces carbon content.

Low-carbon ferromanganese is mainly an alloy composed of manganese and iron, and ferromanganese is the most used deoxidizer and alloying material in steelmaking. It is made from manganese ore and smelted in blast furnaces and electric furnaces. The density of manganese is 7.43 grams per cubic centimeter, the melting point is 1245 °C, and the boiling point is 2150 °C. Manganese has a great affinity for oxygen, and can form stable manganese oxide with oxygen. In addition, ferromanganese, as an alloying element additive, can enhance the hardness, ductility, toughness and wear resistance of steel. It is widely used in structural steel, tool steel, stainless heat-resistant steel, wear-resistant steel and other alloy steels. Manganese also has the effect of desulphurization and reducing the harmful effects of sulfur.Medium and low carbon ferromanganeseIt can be divided into low-carbon ferromanganese with a carbon content of less than 0.7% and medium-carbon ferromanganese with a carbon content of 0.7%-2.0%.
